Jan 14, 2026: From Scott Helmka & Steve Muenzer: Steve and I have an update to our requirements when it comes to communication as crew chiefs and the whole group in general. 

• If you are the crew chief confirm all assignments with your partners and schools at least 48 hours prior. When you confirm with schools give SPECIFIC details on what night you will be there, the start time, what level or levels you are working that evening and who your partners are. The more information the better for all parties involved.
• In addition to the above protocol if you are not the crew chief and you do not hear from your CC  it is your responsibility to be pro active and confirm assignments 24 hours prior and let Steve and I know so that we can all follow up depending on whose assignment it was.

This is non negotiable. There can never be a no call no show barring an unfortunate emergency obviously. 

Dec 28,2025: From Scott Helmka & Steve Muenzer: As we turn the calendar into 2026 my New Years resolution for myself and Steve Muenzer is that we get zero declined assignments kicked back to us due to officials not properly updating there availability…..

As we end 2025 I can tell you that there are MANY more games for me to assign for the new year which I will do over the next week. This includes many games on Tuesdays which is by far our busiest night of the week.

It is vital that you are making sure your calendar that we can access is 100 percent accurate from days you can or  cannot work, travel limits you might have, partners you prefer to block etc. 

For example turning back a game because it is too far is unacceptable when you do not have your travel limits updated.This will quickly get you bypassed for any opportunities moving forward.
